On their debut EP, "Animal," Grudgepacker turns inward lyrically, with vocalist/founder Allan Yaxon singing about his own self-love as a brown, gay man over the stomping hardcore punk introduced by their self-titled debut. In the vein of greats like Limp Wrist and G.L.O.S.S. with hints of Yaxon's oi influence peeking through. The guitars are dirty and the drums pummeling; the EP is a short and energetic offering. Limited edition of 500 copies.
