The companion EP to "We May Be Through With The Past" (Status) and recorded in Boston at GodCity Studio by Kurt Ballou (Converge) "But The Past..." provides the listener with Curl Up And Die's patented sound of thick, gut wrenching metal, 'calculus-core' thrash, angular post-rock and of course clever (and lengthy) song titles. In addition to vocal work that's closer to 'singing' than on previous releases, the twelve minute epic which closes the EP ("God is in his Heaven, All is Right With the World") is testament to the group's forward thinking mindset and constant musical prgression.
